On October 9, the 18th National Congress of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) opened in Beijing. Zhang Lan, Associate Principal Scientist of CSPC Zhongqi Pharmaceutical Technology (Shijiazhuang) Co., Ltd., serves as a representative of the biopharmaceutical industry in Hebei Province. She attended the Congress with the important responsibility and expectation of 28,000 CSPC personnel.
At the Congress venue, Zhang Lan was full of excitement. She expressed that it was a great honor and pride to be able to represent CSPC, Shijiazhuang, and Hebei Province at the 18th National Congress of ACFTU, and this moment would be etched in her memory for a lifetime.
Since her graduation in 2004, Zhang Lan has been engaged in formulation selection and industrial scale-up work for nano-targeted and sustained-release long-acting injections in the CSPC. She has been the primary researcher or involved in the development of several high-end injection products, including Duomeisu (Doxorubicin Hydrochloride Liposome Injection), Keaili (Paclitaxel for Injection (Albumin-Bound)), and Duoenda (Mitoxantrone Hydrochloride Liposome Injection). These products have generated good economic and societal benefits. In 2021, Zhang Lan won the "Shijiazhuang May 1st Labor Medal" and the titles of "Top Ten Craftsmen of the Provincial Capital" and "Top Ten Inspirational Figures of the Provincial Capital".
"I will actively fulfill my duties as a representative, carefully understand the instructions of the Congress, and effectively convey the spirit of the conference. In the future, I will draw motivation from this conference to work diligently, focus on scientific research, strive to overcome critical core techniques, and develop more affordable new and good drugs for the general public, so as to contribute to the implementation of the Healthy China strategy." Zhang Lan stated.
